April 29

We left Nassau with friends and came to Cape Canaveral in 46 hours spent 2 days left again and 2 boats went on to Brunswick, GA and we came on to Myrtle Beach 50 hours. We got to our marina about 10, showered and had lunch and crashed.

I slept a lot on this crossing and Bo was at watch most of the time except for the 5 hours or so he napped.

So good to be home again.

We have friends at another marina we met in Florida 4 years ago and spent time last year when we were here. We are picking them up tomorrow morning as we have a car rented to a month. In that month we should have all our lightening repairs done.

Friends we met this year from Belgium are on their way across and coming here to spend time with us for a few days also, so excited. Can hardly wait until we meet up with them in their home country how awesome will that be. They are our tour guides and we also have a place to stay.

The crossing was uneventful thank heavens, seas were fairly calm had roller waves and winds stayed at about 10-17. We had something I had never seen before, dolphins that are called Spotted Dolphins. Bo has seen a show about them so was excited to see them.

Getting my hair cut this week as I have only trimmed the bangs so I could see out. Bo wants me to keep it long so will give it a try, but as most of you know I do not do hair, never have and never will, I am the shake it and go kind.

Our friends on Cat's Meow will be back in Gloucester Point VA mid June and by then we will be one our first road trips for about 3 weeks seeing family and friends. Will be great get back and see Donald and LaVonne again at Gloucester Point when we get back.

Bo is still trying to decide if he wants to sell the house. We have doctor appointments in June,July and August so can get some more of our boxes gone from the house and a friends will take the last of the bedroom furniture we gave her.

We have had an incredible journey this year and some people say across the pond,,,,,,,let me tell you it is not a pond. But they are so true, living a dream and being able to share it with all of you.

Will keep you posted on our next adventure.

We have friends coming last of May-first part of June from Tucson. Mike is going to travel back with us to VA and we are trying to decide if we do the 2 day trip around Hatteras or the long 7-10 days on the ICW.  As you remember our adventure around Hatteras last November.

April 26,

We arrived at Cape Canaveral April 25 after 46 hours of glorious sailing time. We were able to sail some but most of it was motor sailing.

As we came through Freeport Bahamas the freighter traffic was unbelievable. With our new chart plotter it was so different that all I did was call Bo constantly  so in 2 days I bet he got 6 hours of sleep.

We were with another boat that we met in Nassau that has kept their boat in the Caribbean for 4 years and would fly from St. Paul, MN to the boat and spend 4-5 months on it and fly home. They now have the boat for sail so brought it back. They have been a fun couple to spend time with. We are both leaving Cape Canaveral tomorrow going 2 different directions.

About 2 the last afternoon both boats had to make a decision  as to keep going and get in here about 2 in the morning , keep going or kill time. Decision made, kill time…….fish. We do hand reel fishing and I caught a small Mahi Mahi , snagged another but it got away. We also had a passenger for a little. A little bird. 5 Years ago on our way home from Florida at the same place we also had a bird and Butter has real excitement with it. We thought it has flown away and when we got up the next morning there he was and Butter stalked it and bang caught it. The bird was so smart acted hurt with a floppy wing so Butter backed off and before you knew it he flew away.

We are directly across from the Disney Cruise ships. We are right next to where the space shuttle took off.

I will send several pictures. When I said we were anchored by huge boats here are a couple. Thought you might like to see the bird. Another sun rise as we were coming into Cape C.

Our journey is about over as when we head out tomorrow we plan to go for another 46 plus hours to Myrtle Beach and spend about a month for repairs.

I think both of us have learned a lot about different cultures and how we have so much and take it all for granted. Next year we are taking books for school and clothing .

Thank you for each of you being a part of our journey for the last 6 months.

God Bless each of you, will let you know our next few stops before docking for the summer and taking our 2 month road trips.
